Delete your account and data
You can request deletion of your MeowMood account and associated data at any time.
Request in the app
- Sign in to MeowMood.
- Open Settings.
- Select Request account deletion.
- Read the information and confirm.
Submitting the request signs you out immediately and starts the deletion process.
Delete individual records without deleting your account
- Sign in and open the relevant cat’s page.
- Find the health, care or observation record to remove.
- Open its menu and select Delete record.
- Confirm deletion.
You can delete individual health, care or AI observation records without deleting your account. The record and directly associated analysis results will no longer appear. If you cannot complete this in the app, email us from your registered address with the subject ‘MeowMood partial data deletion request’ and specify the data types to delete. Do not send your password.
If you cannot sign in
Email huangshihtsu@gmail.com from your registered MeowMood address with the subject ‘MeowMood account deletion request’. We may request reasonable account verification, but will never ask you to email your password.
Data deleted
We delete or anonymize the account and associated personal data, including cat profiles, care and health records, photos, recordings, analysis context and AI reports, according to the request. Data belonging to other members of a shared household is preserved. Necessary exceptions are explained below.
Timing and required retention
Alex Huang checks account-deletion requests made in the app or by email daily, normally completes them within 30 days, and notifies the requester. An in-app request does not require a separate email. If legal obligations or necessary handling of unresolved transactions require some records to be retained, we explain the reason and handling arrangements. Your request does not delete data belonging to other shared-household members. Backup copies and providers' security or legally required records may have different deletion timelines; we do not promise immediate removal of every copy.
